On Sunday work was split between removal of the tender buffer beam and starting to dismantle the bogie truck.

Saturday saw the removal of the bogie truck and the under keeps.



24th December 2009
With the old drag box removed machining of the new angle has started. Due to only metric angle being available we are having to machine each part before drilling can start. So far two of the four angles that hold the rear buffer beam have be trial fitted with work starting on the inner drag box in the new year.

19th October 2009
The cab has now been dismantled and stored for use as a pattern. Some of the frame is reuseable and has been cleaned, painted and put in store.
The drag box has finally given in to the gas axe and grinder. Again this will be used as a pattern then scrapped. The last few peices of running board have been removed.
The metal for the fitted bolts in the pony truck have been cut to length and will be going away for machining soon.
16th August 2009
Once again due to running commitments with other engines work has slowed slightly on the hall. The firmans side steps have now been removed and work continues on dismantling the drag box.
